We offer several training courses at Sugarbush in both group and individual setting. Our instructors have developed their curriculum’s to educate all levels of shooters on safety, fundamentals, and technique.

GROUP TRAINING:

  • NYS Pistol Permit Training by Defensive Response Training Solutions
    Our concealed carry firearm safety training and basic pistol shooting course meets the content requirements for the new 16 +2-hour curriculum required in New York State.
  • Handgun 101 (Co-ed & Ladies only) by Shefire Training
    Learn the basic mechanics of a pistol and reasons for concealed carry. In this ladies only workshop we will discuss the various types of firearms and, ammunition and the proper way to handle and operate a handgun.
  • Handgun 102 (Co-ed & Ladies only) by Shefire Training
    In this workshop we will discuss Handgun Safety, Grip, Stance, Aim and Dry Fire.
  • Utah Conceal Firearm Permit Course by Shefire Training
    Successful completion will allow you to apply for your Utah CFP. This training is a requirement to obtain your Utah nonresident firearm permit. You will learn the basics of firearm ownership, safety, and how it applies to the home and self-defense. Utah traffic code, uniform laws, weapons laws and justification of force as well as federal laws.  

CLASSES HELD BY APPOINTMENT:

 

NYS PISTOL PERMIT: FLORIDA UPGRADE       $75

A thirty-minute appointment with our instructors reviewing NYS Handgun Safety and range time with qualifications. Upon completion you will be certified to apply for your Florida Non-Resident Pistol Permit.

 

YOU AND YOUR GUN  $75 w/ SBA  firearm     $125* w/ non-SBA firearm

A One-hour hands on 1:1 appointment with a certified DRTS/SBA instructor using your own firearm.

  • 30 minutes: safely breakdown and clean your handgun
  • 15 minutes: drawing your gun from a holster putting all five fundamentals together to get your sight picture and dry fire
  • 15 minutes: live fire 5 shots with our sim guns.

Please bring your firearm and holster (if you have one) with you to class.

  

*When registering online, please select the $50 add-on option if your firearm was not purchased at SBA.
