Firearm Transfers

Sugarbush Armory, Your Handgun Headquarters, accepts and conducts a variety of third party, private party, and FFL transfers, including incoming or  outgoing shipments and in-person transfers. We accept shipments of ammunition, accessories, firearms and NFA items for transfer. 

Incoming Transfers:
Click the link above to send us an email detailing item(s) being sent and where the shipment is coming from.
Incoming packages must include a packing slip that clearly indicates the name and contact information of the intended transferee.
Please allow us at least 24 hours to fully process your shipment once received.

Private Party Transfers:
The seller and purchaser must both come to the store to conduct the transfer.
Advance appointments are not necessary.

Transfer Fees*:
Incoming Long Guns  ………………………………… $35.00 per firearm
Incoming Handguns  …………………………………. $50.00 per firearm
Incoming Shipments (Non Firearm)     ………… $25.00 per package
Private-party NY SAFE Act long guns     ………. $10.00 + $25.00 Processing Fee
Bulk Transfers and NFA items   …………………… $100.00

*Plus applicable background check fees. 

NFA Purchases:
We will complete ATF Form 4, take your fingerprints, and a passport style photo for you at no charge!

Please use the checklist below as a reference in preparing for your purchase:

1. Purchased NFA Item (paid for in full)
2. NFA Tax payment to Sugarbush Armory ($200.00)
3. Law Enforcement Verification Letter (must be on agency letterhead, signed and dated by supervisor, saved as a .pdf)
4. Copy of NYS Driver’s License and Law Enforcement ID (saved as a .pdf)
5. Create an E-Forms Account (https://eforms.atf.gov/) and send your USERNAME, PIN, and EMAIL ADDRESS to FFL@sugarbusharmory.com                  (PLEASE DO NOT SEND US YOUR PASSWORD
